Unlike the previous versions of SAT which were paper and pencil tests lasting 3 hours or more, the digital SAT has some changes major or improvements from the previous paper and pencil version. One such change is that the digital SAT is a shorter test, lasting just over 2 hours. The Reading passages are shorter with only one question tied to each passage.
For starters, the digital test will be shorter and adaptive. That means the test will get harder as the student progresses through it, but the level of difficulty will depend on how they performed on earlier questions.  College Board states that the digital SAT is more "student-friendly" than the tests from the previous years.
One should never rush through a test preparation such as SAT. Hence most experts agree that students should spend approximately 5 to 20 hours each week for about three months studying for the SAT. The total number of hours is greatly dependent on each student's individual goals.
The average SAT score is around 1050. Any score above that would be above average. A score of 1350 would put you in the top 10% of test takers and help make your application competitive at more selective schools. A score of 1200 is good to secure admission to many other well known state universities in the US or Canada. However, besides a good SAT score, a good high school GPA , extracurricular activities, student's essay etc can influence in the admission process.
Bluebook is a testing application from College Board. Students use Bluebook to take the digital SAT and digital AP Exams as well as other College Board exams. Bluebook is the app where you practice, complete exam setup, access your admission ticket, and take the exam on test day.
Students who test on personal devices should go to bluebook.app.collegeboard.org on their testing device to download Bluebook. The download page will detect their device type and provide the right file.
